London Part 1/3

Greetings from London! The long weekend was filled with friends, laughter, shopping and quality time spent in restaurants and pubs.

I try to visit London every 6 months just to see my dear friends. Usually this time is divided between shops and pubs and parks. As it was freezing cold and snowy this time, obviously no parks. But if it's warm and sunny my favorite thing is to go have a picnic at Primrose Hill. The area itself is so pretty and the park is great. Last year in May I had my birthday picnic there, it was the best birthday ever! Cupcakes and sparkling - what more could you want?!

Anyways, as I was saying, the main point with this visit was to hang out with my friends. I did get to do some serious shopping though. One of my favorites is Liberty. The department store itself is so beautiful itself and they have all the best collections as well, like Isabel Marant Étoile.

Liberty is located next to Regent and Oxford St. and Carnaby Street so it's sorrounded by all the high street shops

Liberty is known for their flower prints and a big scarves gallery
When I go to London, I always try to make a list of shops I want to visit beforehand. If you go "just shopping and looking for something" you're never going to succeed. You get overwhelmed easily by the supply. I always want to visit my favorite shops: Whistles, Cos, Maje, Sandro and Theory (Theysken's Theory). The last two are located at least in Marylebone and Selfridges carry their collections as well. Cos has a few stores, one on Regent St and a shop in shop at Selfridges. I also like Comptoir des Cotonniers which has a store on South Molton Street. That's near New Bond Street (which has all the luxury shops) and next to my favorite lunch place, Hush.
South Molton has also Dune, Office, Whistles, Kurt Geiger and Browns

Alley leading to a small inner yard, where the Hush is located quite hidden from the Brook street

Sorry for the grey pics, this was just before the snow storm hit the city
Terkkuja Lontoosta! Oxfordille harvoin eksyn, ainoastaan Selfridgesiin. Selfridgesistä alaspäin on Marc by Marc Jacobsin liike ja ylöspäin Marylebonessa pari lemppariani Sandro ja Theory.

New Bond Streetin (luxuskauppoja kuten Mulberry) ja Brook Streetin holleilla on South Molton Road- pieni kävelykatu, jolla on Dune, Office, Kurt Geiger, Whistles, Comptoir des Cotonniers ja Browns (muitakin, mutta tässä mainitsemisen arvoiset).Vieressä on myös lempparilounaspaikkani, Hush, joka sijaitsee hieman piilossa sisäpihalla.
Liberty, joka sijaitsee kaikkien high street liikkeiden kyljessä Regent Streetin ja Carnaby Streetin vieressä, on myös yksi ehdottomasti visiitin arvoisista paikoista.

Carnaby Street

Carnaby has American Apparel, Muji, Converse and Office to name a few - and next to it some luch places if you get hungry
