In Milan we saw more flares than in London and New York what comes to skirts and dresses. (And obviously more towards madonna than Downton Abbey.)
In beauty trends we saw everything but I liked the soft touch at Emilio Pucci and Dolce & Gabbana. Detailing was wonderful at Dolce & Gabbana - reminded me a little bit of Alexander McQueen and Givenchy but altogether, that is the madonna image, right? Street style in Milan was colorful and eclectic, somehow still the simplest outfits are usually the best ones.  Chiara Ferragni nails it here.

Hair Stuff

I had been looking for the hair rings for some time when H&M brought them back to stores early this year. I think they've sold out already but if you managed to snatch one for yourself, consider yourself to be lucky. I think it's very convenient thing to upgrade your hair to another level.
Here's how I used mine...

Hennes toi takaisin kauppoihin hius-sormuksen tällaisen ponnarin muodossa.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley with Mario Testino
Best accessories were also at Burberry, the dog/ hound head reminded me of the Mulberry fox head

Loved the owls

Burberry Prorsum had the greatest runway as well
Downton Abbey was present at Burberry Prorsum, McQ and Vivienne Westwood Red Label

Altogether, Burberry took the win. Issa was a bit disappointing and I think Downton Abbey is the trend to go for.

Over the Weekend

Lovely friends deserve lovely birthday gifts

Dress, Zara - Belt, Cos
Happy Birthday dear J ! And great success for the future, congrats for your graduation! Double celebrations are ultimately the best ones! Champagne, please!

London Part 2/3

London Shopping

I already mentioned some of my must-go-to stores in my previous post - Sandro, Maje, Whistles, Theory, Cos and Comptoir des Cotonniers are labels that can usually be found in most department stores as well. So instead of heading to the super crowded Oxford Street, I usually just go to Selfridges (also on Oxford though) straight away. There is also the famous Shoe Galleries which is basically every girls' dream. I bought my Aldo Rise shoes from there (below).

Regent Street and Liberty plus Carnaby Street are super good for the high street lovers. Carnaby is maybe a bit more for hipsters and on Regent you can find everything from Issa, Reiss and Michael Kors to Gant and Hamley's toy store.

Marylebone is also worth checking and Marc by Marc Jacobs is located down from Selfridges. New Bond Street, South Molton Road and Brook Street have all also nice shops.

My personal favorite was King's Road and Sloane Street around Sloane Square. There were also super nice lunch places. And my favorite shoe store, Russell&Bromley.

In Knightsbridge are located Harvey Nics (Harvey Nichols) and Harrods plus some high street stores such as Cos. In Harvey Nics you can find Céline (also sunglasses) and Victoria by Victoria Beckham (except for the fact that everything was basically sold out when I went there).

If you like to shop in malls, then head to Westfield (the one in West is best). There's pretty much everything you can dream of.

ps. I've been to Camden as well which was worth checking but not really my thing... and if you like market places or vintage stores, head to East.

Kuten aiemmin jo totesin, Lontoossa riittää shoppailtavaa. Paras on siis valmistautua listalla, ettei runsaudenpaljous yllätä. Tehoshoppailijalle Selfridges on aivan mainio, sieltä löytyy kaikki kivoimmat brändit ja suuri Shoe Galleries, missä kenkäfriikin unelmat todellakin toteutuvat.
Perus high street merkkejä rakastavan kannattaa suunnata Regentille ja Carnabylle, ja vähän kalliimmista brändeistä tykkäävälle New Bond Street sekä South Molton Road tarjoavat liikkeitä Mulberrystä Brownsiin.
Henkilökohtainen lempparini on King's Road sekä Sloane Street, Sloane Squaren lähistöllä sijaitsevien katujen ympärillä on myös ihania lounaspaikkoja.
Ostoskeskushoppailijalle Westfield on sopiva, vintagea ja toreja rakastavalle idästä löytyvät parhaat mahdollisuudet.

#NYFW Highlights

Marc Jacobs runway had a fairytale feeling, set designed by Rachel Feinstein
The Fashion Month has begun. I thought that instead of (over-)posting  too (like every other blogger) runway pictures of collections, one after another and picking favorites from the ones I liked (as I've done before), I could just present the highlights from the week from my point of view. After all, fashion weeks are much more than just the collections. The mania around the shows, the front rows, celebrities, backstage pictures, inspirations, beauty looks...
Also, pretty much everyone checks the collections from style.com anyways...
So - here's my collage of inspiration from the New York Fashion Week. Next up, London !

Cara Delevigne (walked in many shows) - here in Carolina Herrera

^Jenny Packham show was super anticipated

Oscar de la Renta was my favorite like last season, pics: style.com

Altogether, a lot of black, black and some more black with different whites, deep reds, some greys and indigo blues and greens. Pastel blue was present in Oscar de la Renta and some other shows like Carolina Herrera and Jenny Packham. Kind of sophisticated dark and elegant vibe was the most dominant factor in all shows. If you would need to pick one single thing for next fall, I would go work a black and red mixture sophisticated dress with a splash of white like Oscar de la Renta's above.

**Surprise moment of NYFW was definitely Saara walking down Rodarte runway. (remember her from Finland's NTM?)

*** The Va-Va-Voom Marchesa Dress
