I probably don't have to tell you that the shopping options in London were much better than Helsinki...You can actually spend days and days just shopping if you feel like it, and still you wouldn't get bored. I had a list of must-go-to's (like Cos & Whistles) and then I found accidentally couple of brands that were surprisingly wonderful.
I love the shoes! I tried the aviator inspired buckled-shearling lined-platform ankle boots on probably five times but then decided that they weren't exactly made for the finnish winter (and streets full of slush). Too bad, I still feel like I'm in love with the shoes. Kurt Geiger has stores full of great shoes... I like!
Whistles is my favorite store! They have great coats, dresses and jewelry and everything. The style somehow reflects my style very well and therefore I always find something that feels like 'me'.
Russell & Bromley was a new brand to me that I had not heard of. I ended up buying two lovely pairs of wearable perfect heels. So comfortable and so cute! When I first put the heels on I thought I was in heaven (with 12 cms) so I had to have them! I can truly recommend since it's always hard to find quality heels.
Cos is a brand owned by H&M and the collection is minimalist + chic. Somehow it seems very french to me (almost like Maje but Maje is so much more to die for). From cos you can find great simple dresses, coats, trousers, shirts and jewelry. And some pretty ballerinas.
Jaeger. I had never tried on any of Jaeger's pieces before but since I was reading Vogue on my way to London and an ad caught my eye I thought why not go visit their Flagship store on Regent St. Especially their shoes were fantastic (if you could wear them in slushy Finland). They also have Jaeger Boutique brand for younger fashionistas. Pics below.
